‘Liquid City’ Gets Eisner Award Nomination
It’s been a busy time for comics.
I’m happy to note that Liquid City Volume Two has been nominated for an Eisner Award, for ‘Best Anthology’.

The Eisners are a USA comic industry annual award, named after one of the giants of the medium. I have a small text piece on Cambodian comics included, what really excites me seeing mainstream enthusiasm for Southeast Asian comics. (And probably a Volume Three, down the road!)
In other comics news:
- Sale of two framed comics prints at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Cambodia, to raise funds for Japan quake relief. (Above)
- ‘Darkest Day’ Anthology is out, including my contribution ‘Maps’. You can purchase it online from http://funtime.comics.org.nz/
- And QuickDraw (online) gets a thumbs-up from AsiaLife! Thanks!
Not comics: we had a spirited discussion about just what the heck ‘Social Media’ is for the Overseas Press Club of Cambodia at Meta House.
